More Than One
You deserve to see someone who understands that relationships are not all "cis het and mono".
Being an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, I have received over 200+ hours in sex therapy and additional training in Consensual Non-Monogamy and Poly relationships. I used evidence-based approaches with all relationship therapy, using Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
How Can Working with a Polyamory Informed Therapist Help?
You are thinking of opening up the relationship but are unsure how? When working together I will help you with the initial negotiations of what you want it to look like coming from a basis of attachment theory. Are you wanting Relationship Anarchy? A Kitchen Table Polycule? Something else entirely? It's YOUR relationship.
Learn to Understand Eachother
You can learn to better navigate your relationship and understand each other. Together we will learn the dynamics that occur between you and your partner(s) to help create a space of empathy and understanding.
No Fear of Judgement
Society, and sometimes therapists, can often shame folks for having different interests or use their bias to "push you back into monogamy". This will never happen here. Things like being kinky, furry, or power-dynamics are all welcome at SexOneFour.
I do not just have specialized training in the areas of kink, BDSM, and Polyamory: I am an active member of the communities I support.
I know first hand how hard it is to find a therapist "who gets it". My involvement in these communities has helped me understand the nuances that no textbook or classroom can teach.
I have been involved in the furry community since 2008. Through that community I have found the kink and leather communities and explored my own experiences being in open and poly relationships.
