Sex Therapy

What is Sex Therapy?

If you find yourself asking...

Where has the spark gone?

Can I stop using porn?

Why is it so difficult for me to get turned on?

Will I ever want to have sex again?

it might be time to go to see someone with training in sexual issues. Folks can go to a sex specialist to find ways to decrease conflict in their sex life,or help communication around sex, or just as a tool to strengthen the bond they have with their partner(s).

It isn't just for couples either! Sex therapy can help individuals and families through improving communication and open discussions.

I do not take a "one size fits all" approach, it is tailored to what you need and meet you where you are at. Sessions last anywhere between 53 and 90 minutes. During which time treatment is tailored to your specific needs, in an open, sex positive, and safe environment (in my office or virtually through my confidential online video service). I incorporate many different approaches depending on what you need, taking from Gottman, CBT, and Emotionally Focused Therapy.

I use and am an trained in WPATH standard of care for all transgender and non-binary folks.

I am open and affirming to sex workers and use the Sex Worker Affirmative Therapy Model

I am kink competent, and have experience working with a variety of power dynamics, relationship structures, and alternative sexual interests.

I am a member of sex positive organizations American Association of Counselors, Educators, and Therapists and National Coalition for Sexual Freedom.

I have advanced training in sexual health and therapy through the Ohio Center for Relationship & Sexual Health.
